Rhetort Ltd., will present at the SPE Virtual Workshop: Marginal and Mature Field Management.

In the summer of 2020, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigeria’s oil and gas industry regulator, started the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round Exercise (MFBRE) with 57 fields on land, swamp, and shallow offshore terrains on offer.

The bid round exercise was open to all indigenous companies and investors interested in participating in exploration and production business in Nigeria and the primary aim was to increase and grow Nigeria’s reserve. Simply put, rapid field development is sacrosanct to the license award to successful bidders.

Rhetort Limited was actively involved in the process in a technical consultancy and advisory role with a couple of operators and my presentation will detail Rhetort’s strategy for accelerating field development for one of the more challenging offshore fields.
